WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

At Goodwin Hoops our mission is to provide excellent basketball skills training and a range of competitive experiences that promote positive social, physical and mental development of youth athletes for success in sport and in life.

10 athletes and 2 alternates will be chosen

The 10 athletes will have first choice at attending out-of-town tournaments

Alternates will be given the opportunity to attend tournaments if a regular roster player cannot make it

All athletes will participate in games within the Okanagan, including exhibition games and tournaments.

BOYS U11, U12, U13, U14, U15, U16
U17, Varsity

GIRLS U12, U13, U14, U15, U16,
U17, Varsity

We expect to have multiple teams for the following age groups:

Boys - U12 to U16

Girls - U15, U16

Late March to June 30th (Some teams may extend into July)

2-3x per week
1x dryland biweekly (U14 & older)

Boys

All boys teams will participate in the OBL (Okanagan Basketball League). This will involve approximately 10-12 games within the Okanagan across 4 jamboree weekends

Girls

All girls teams will play in 6-8 local exhibition games vs teams from Penticton, Vernon, Kamloops, Salmon Arm, & Kelowna

We are still finalizing exact tournament schedules with our coaches, but families can expect a competition schedule similar to the outline below. Final schedules will be confirmed at the tryouts.

All Spring team fees are inclusive this year. This means all tournament entry fees and game fees are included in the program cost. Families will not be asked to pay additional team or tournament fees throughout the season.

Team fees will be communicated prior to tryouts. We are currently finalizing exact tournament schedules with our coaching staff.

A team-store will be available for athletes and families to purchase clothing.

A jersey rental fee is included in your season fees. All jerseys and shorts must be returned at the end of the season. Missing or lost uniforms will result in a $150 replacement fee
